Building Bridges

Building Bridges: Strengthening International Capacity, Developing Key Competences, and Promoting Inclusion Through Erasmus+ strengthened the international capacity of Association Aries through a ten-day Erasmus+ adult learning mobility in Greece. The project supported participants in developing digital, civic, intercultural and project-planning skills while exploring inclusion, EU values, sustainability and community participation. Learners also created their own project concepts and contributed to the organisation’s future Erasmus+ strategy.

Project Objectives

The objectives were designed to address Association Aries’ limited experience in international cooperation while creating meaningful learning opportunities for participants, especially those with fewer opportunities. Together, they connect organisational development with inclusion, European values and the practical competences needed for active participation in community and professional life.

Strengthen International Capacity

Build Association Aries’ ability to manage Erasmus+ activities, cooperate with European partners and develop future transnational projects.

Promote Inclusion and EU Values

Increase participants’ understanding of inclusion, diversity, freedom of movement, active citizenship and the wider European dimension.

Develop Key Competences

Improve digital, intercultural, teamwork, communication and project-planning skills that support personal, social and professional development.

Project Topics

International Learning and European Cooperation

Participants strengthened their understanding of Erasmus+, international cooperation and the European dimension of adult learning through mobility, exchange and contact with the hosting organisation.

Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Participation

The project promoted equal access to learning for people of different ages, backgrounds and social situations, with particular attention to participants with fewer opportunities and accessibility needs.

Digital Upskilling and Innovation

Participants developed practical digital competences through the use of collaborative project-management tools and explored how technology can support communication, organisation and learning.

EU Values and Active Citizenship

Activities focused on democracy, solidarity, inclusion, freedom of movement, civic participation and the role of European values in personal, community and organisational development.

Project Development and Strategic Planning

Participants learned how to identify community needs, define objectives and target groups, design activities, assess impact and develop structured project concepts for future funding opportunities.

Intercultural Communication

The mobility supported language practice, teamwork and dialogue between people from different cultural backgrounds, helping participants build confidence and improve their ability to cooperate in an international environment.

What Our Participants Say

★★★★★

The Erasmus+ mobility in Komotini gave all of us valuable new knowledge and skills. Most importantly, it showed that people of different ages, backgrounds and social status can participate on equal terms, including disadvantaged participants like me. I would be very happy to see more people in disadvantaged situations included in future activities. Thank you!
