During Days 6 and 7 of the Building Bridges: Strengthening International Capacity, Developing Key Competences, and Promoting Inclusion Through Erasmus+ mobility in Komotini, participants focused on environmental responsibility and the practical development of Erasmus+ project concepts.
Day 6: Green Priorities and Sustainable Mobility
The sixth day introduced participants to the environmental priorities of the European Union and their relevance to educational activities, international mobility and community initiatives.
Through the Green Event simulation, participants examined how travel, accommodation, food, printed materials, plastic use, waste and transport choices can affect the environmental footprint of an activity. Working in groups, they identified more sustainable alternatives and considered how environmental responsibility can be integrated into project planning from the beginning.
Participants then prepared a Green Plan with practical measures for future activities, including greater use of digital materials, reduced printing and single-use plastic, responsible use of resources and more sustainable mobility choices.
The programme also included a cultural visit near Komotini, giving participants another opportunity to learn about the local area and strengthen intercultural exchange.
Day 7: Developing Structured Project Concepts
On the seventh day, participants returned to the community challenges identified earlier in the programme and developed their ideas in greater detail.
The groups worked on:
- defining clear objectives;
- identifying target groups;
- planning activities;
- preparing timelines;
- allocating responsibilities;
- considering expected results and sustainability.
Each team reviewed its developing concept with the support of peers and trainers. The feedback process helped participants identify unclear elements, improve the connection between needs and activities, and make their ideas more realistic and coherent.
By the end of Day 7, the initial ideas had developed into more structured project concepts ready for further assessment and presentation during the final part of the mobility.
